  • You Can Save This Polar Bear…

    Polar Bear

  • Rapid climate change is occurring now. Just have a look at what’s going on around the world! Ice caps are melting faster, our sea levels are rising, weather patterns are changing and the earth is quickly warming up. Its effects are fast becoming one of the greatest threats facing our planet in the 21st century.

There is overwhelming scientific consensus that climate change is caused by humans, and one of our most destructive activities is consuming animal products. A report on climate change just released by the United Nations (UN) concludes that we need a global shift towards a vegan diet to save the world from hunger and the worst impacts of climate change.

    The report states:

  • A substantial reduction of [climate change] impacts would only be possible with a substantial worldwide diet change, away from animal products.

Not only do meat, dairy and egg industries cause untold animal suffering, they are also wreaking havoc on the earth. One example of this is that a vegan diet requires around 1,100 litres of water per day whereas a meat based diet requires over 15,000 litres of water per day! (Frances Moore Lappé, Diet for a Small Planet).

Take action for the planet – the future is in our hands. And what a better day to make these changes than today, World Environment Day. Your lifestyle choices can make a difference.
